Tom Berry
Head of Sustainability, Europe
Kimberly Clark |
| |
|
|
Tom has been providing advice to companies on strategy and sustainability for the past 10 years.
He now drives sustainability in Europe as part of the Kimberly Clark Global Sustainability team. He works with the business and brands to identify where sustainability can provide competitive advantage, and helps to ensure the company is taking the right steps to prosper in a resource constrained world. This can be as simple as making the business case for better packaging, or as complicated as identifying how the company and brands can best support more sustainable global water use.
Before Kimberly Clark, Tom was Sustainability Manager at Innocent, helping them to meet their mission to ‘make food good – delicious, healthy and sustainable’. And prior to joining the corporate world, he worked at Forum for the Future (in the UK) and The Institute for Sustainable Futures (in Australia) – both sustainable development charities that providing strategic advice on sustainable development in business. He led Forums’ advisory work with the retail sector, working with companies such as PepsiCo, John Lewis and Unilever. He co-authored ‘Retail Futures: scenarios for retail and sustainable development’ developed with Tesco and Unilever to inform long-term strategy and risk management.
Before seeing the light (and converting to sustainability) Tom also spent 3 years as a business strategy consultant at Gemini Consulting – a management consultancy based in London.
He has a first class BA in Geography from Cambridge University.
